This pod system looks like it belongs with the Manta ray species. Warning, though; this pod isn’t waterproof - just wanted to get that out of the way. Despite all this, the fish-like shape allows it to sit comfortably in the palm of your hand. If it’s something you will constantly use, why not make it ergonomic?
Don’t let its size trick your expectations. This kit includes the GENE.Pod chip for voltage protection and control. It also boasts a 350mAh battery which allows you to enjoy ripping vapor for a decent amount of time. Simply top off the battery and take it with you wherever you go.
If you’ve been looking for a proper device to smoke your salt nic juices with, this is it. With a 1.6ohm coil resistance, you can rip delicious 50/50 vape juice and bask in its flavorful splendor. If that’s not your cup of tea, a regular freebase works just as well.

The VooPoo Finic Fish Pod fared well under scrutiny. It received a few complaints but nothing to panic about. When I first unpacked it, I noticed the good quality right away. The rubberized texture feels amazing at the touch. It almost makes me want to fiddle with it more than actually vaping it. I’m kidding, of course, but I have to admit it’s fun to fiddle and vape.
The proprietary GENE.pod chipset provides voltage control, which is a fantastic addition. It would be great if more pod systems offered a chipset, but a man can dream. My taste buds met amazing flavor. The coils can handle 50 / 50 nicotine salt e-juice very well. This little device makes for an ideal all-day vape.
I have a couple of complaints, though. The first one is the e-liquid visibility. I don’t enjoy raising my pod against a bright light to see the remaining vape juice. I also find it messy to refill. The filling hole is too small, and you have to squirt the juice at an angle to avoid spillage. Other than that, it’s a must have vape.
Here’s what the reviewers had to say about the VooPoo Finic Fish Pod System – starting with the negative marks. Firstly, you don’t receive a spare pod in the kit. Something that is now standard practice with most companies will certainly piss off some customers. What if the included pod is faulty? What if you poured the wrong e-juice and now you have to wait until new pods arrive in the mail days from now? It brings a lot of problems and inconvenience to the table. What if, because of this inconvenience, somebody would rather purchase a different product? These are the pervasive concerns that whirl around the community regarding the lack of spare pods or coils.
Messy leaks when filling was another complaint. The angle in which you must place your e-juice bottle is an inconvenience because you will create a spill. Now, that’s something not all reviewers agreed upon. It may have been a personal mishap. I didn’t experience this problem as severely as this particular reviewer and is certainly not a deal-breaker. Lack of e-liquid visibility created a bit of chaos, as well. Only one reviewer complained about this, but this is something I, too, found annoying.
Those are the only complaints about this pod system - nothing panic-worthy. Let’s move on to a positive: the design. The rubberized texture feels amazing at the touch. All users found themselves touching it, and playing with it, because of how smooth it felt within their fingers. Luscious vapor shoots out of the coil effortlessly and is particularly better when the vape juice is nicotine-salt based. But, if you’d rather vape freebase juices, you’ll receive an amazing experience as well.
In conclusion, many pros and only a couple of cons make this pod system a “must-have” product. Positive marks across the board are a good sign, and if you’re looking for a unique, ergonomic device which delivers great vapor – then this is the fish pod you’ve been looking for.
