This was a pretty popular item among reviewers, with a few notable asterisks. As with any review, of course, each pro and con is a matter of preference and opinion, but especially so with a device like the Joyetech Exceed Grip. Before getting into the nitty-gritty, it’s important to point out what this device is, in regards to the lung hit you’re getting. It’s a loose MTL or a restricted DTL, meaning it occupies that sometimes-awkward middle ground where you’re looking to probably use a 12 – 18mL freebase or bump it up to the nicotine salts with the higher resistance coil. If that’s what you’re here for, you may find that this is a great device for you. With that out of the way, let’s dive into pros and cons.

The most common issue with this device is its lack of important features. Despite a unique and interesting pod system, this vape lacks airflow control and power options. While this wouldn’t be such a significant issue if the airflow were properly adjusted, many reviewers complained that that MTL was too loose and the DTL was overly restricted. Likewise, the device has a bit of a difficult fill system and some reviewers said that they didn’t care for its build quality either.

There’s a lot to be said for this kit, however. The huge juice capacity is truly remarkable and it’s got a battery size to back it up. It’s also got an interchangeable 510, which is commonly on vaper’s wish lists with other AIO systems. The firing button feels great and it’s got a lovely look to it, with a bunch of different color options. The throat hit is also quite satisfying, especially if you’re okay with the fixed airflow settings.

So there you have it. This is a great AIO device if you’re looking for something super discreet, portable, and with great battery life and juice capacity for extended use. Keep in mind the airflow situation and ask yourself if that’s what you’re into. If so, this is a great pick-up.
