The iJust 3 Starter Kit by Eleaf is their latest offering in a long line of iJust products, now featuring two new coils, a big 6.5mL capacity on the Ello Duro tank, and that famous stick shape the iJust has become known for. It’s also available in some very flashy colors, typical of Eleaf, but is otherwise a very simple and standard stick-style vape device. These handy vape tubes have become popular among beginners and veterans alike, but will the iJust 3 become another excellent option from Eleaf or does this get a big thumbs-down from the reviewers? When it comes to stick, AIO-esque devices, there’s a whole lot of “same-ness” going on with some companies out there. Does the Eleaf manage to rise above or does it get lost in the shuffle? Let’s find out, starting by the primary issues discovered by our faithful reviewers.
Right out the gate, the issue everyone is talking about: airflow. The iJust 3 has just an incredible amount of airflow, far too much to be comfortable for just about any style of vaper. While huge airflow isn’t the end of the world on an adjustable device like the iJust 3, the flavor becomes noticeably dampened when you cut it down. At the same time, cutting the airflow doesn’t seem to restrict the draw that much anyway, leaving you more or less stuck with a loose, airy vape. With that issue out of the way, however, there’s nothing much else to complain about.
The fill system gets an A+ across the board. It’s easy to use with one of those nice silicone membranes inside for automatic sealing and mess-free filling. Likewise the construction seems to be high quality with a really intricate and attractive style. It’s available in a wide range of colors too, which is nice if you want the elegance of an Eleaf style without all flashy rainbow colors.
The coils received more middle-of-the-road to slightly above average marks. A couple of the reviewers really enjoyed the flavor, while there were some complaints of somewhat muted flavor production, particularly when fiddling with the airflow. That having been said, the NET coils in particular were quite popular and provide decent protection against dry hits. Not a bad feature in a non-TC device.
The airflow, to revisit a familiar subject once again, is massive, but is also quite smooth. This earns some points on the backside, since a huge and turbulent airflow could make something like this unusable.
All in all, the iJust 3 has one big issue. If you’re the kind of person who prefers or enjoys a massively airy vape, this might be the perfect stick for you. With good coils, quality construction, and a simple, intuitive design, there’s not much more you could ask for in a relatively small and compact stick vape.
