Before the European EU revisions an important survey will take place to revise vaping and tobacco regulatory standards and tax directives. A group of 22 vaping and nicotine consumer organizations are sponsoring the European tobacco harm reduction advocates survey. The ETHRA supports the strategy for tobacco harm reduction and has garnered support from its member groups. ETHRA continues to push global participation in the survey by stressing the importance of the collected data helping to push legislators to decide by next year.

Nicotine users will be probed with a series of questions regarding their tobacco and nicotine history. The tobacco products directive (TPD) contemplates banning flavors and placing restrictions such as the 20mg/ml nicotine cap including nicotine cap, tank size, and bottle restraints. The survey is offered in 10 languages and it's only applicable to adults. It was created by ETHRA and scientific advisories and offers a unique IP address to ensure only one response and will be available until December 31, 2020.

October 26th presents another opportunity for EU vapers to let their voices be heard and submit to public comments on the SCHEER report. The report is heavily flawed and has been skewed by the opinions of Bloomberg/world health.

Vaper participation along with THR advocates is crucial to the effects of vaping restrictions and could help to turn the revisions of the TPD around. What’s at stake is vaping restrictions and a possible flavor ban. The ETHRA website provides all the resources and examples you’ll need to craft your comments.
