Conclusion

The Desire Design cut premium starter kit is an average performing mod. Let’s tackle the build quality first. The Desire Design Cut Premium kit bears a futuristic look with a boxy shape. The Diamond cut logo sits smack in the middle of the display screen so you’ll never forget it. But for the most part, it’s a nice looking device, it feels solid in your hands, it doesn’t feel cheapy at all. The battery door is very secure, there is no wiggling or rattling to be heard. The mod’s box shape fits comfortably in your hand but might be too clunky for a travel pod, especially if you’re wearing skinny jeans.  The front screen display is a nice feature, although it reads a bit dull, it’s nice to have it there. The buttons on the device are nice and clicky, the firing button offers the Desire design logo which is pretty fire. The real downside to the build is the display screen and back panel make the device an instant fingerprint magnet.

Onto the pro’s, the desire cut mod offers an easy to read menu, and it has a puff counter, hooray. The device is customizable, you can easily attach an RDA or RTA for a revived experience. A major pro is when you change out your RDA the mod automatically adjusts your wattage. A standout feature is the mode settings, the Desire cut premium can be placed in novice mod or advanced user mode. Novice mode keeps you from firing a coil at too high of a wattage. The advanced mode gives you a customizable feel allowing you to control the temperature, wattage, variable voltage, bypass, and custom curve modes. The mod shoots out vapor, there's loads of airflow and it provides a cooler vape. One reviewer, Kimmy review, was very pleased by the performance of the bulldog tank, the flavor that it delivers, along with the performance of the mesh coils.

Now, to the cons, the Bulldog tank is nice, but it’s nothing extraordinary, it functions but it doesn’t function well. Vaper, Jai Haze took the mod for a spin and experienced leakage from the tank, which he said was either from the tank or coil, but he wasn’t happy with the performance either. The flavor is muted with the mesh coils, an odd thing because mesh coils typically provide the best flavor. The final grievance is concerning the build quality of the Desire Cut premium starter kit, it feels like it was designed for lefties, it's very awkward to hold, also anything over 25mm on top gives overhang.

Final Thoughts

The Desire Design Cut premium 220 W starter kit is a pretty decent sub-ohm kit, if you're looking for clouds, this thing won’t let you down, the modes and functions work pretty well but there is something missing. It’s not really suitable for beginner vapers unless you know sub-ohm vaping is your thing, and you’ve got some time to tinker around with the settings, but despite that it’s still a good starter kit. It passes, I’d recommend it.
