What should I get if I'm just getting started?
A typical ProVari starter kit contains all of the basic items if you are just getting started and don't currently have any hardware.
1. The ProVari - We offer this in three color choices. Satin Silver, Chrome and Satin Black. This is a personal choice on which one you like best. The ProVari's are all the same functionality wise, the only difference is color of the tube. Silver is a media blasted finish. Chrome is a shiny show chrome with a mirror like finish and Satin black is a smooth black finish with a ceramic coating.
2. Batteries - There are two main types of batteries for the ProVari. The first one is the AW 18490. This is the shorter of the two batteries. This battery will give you good run time and does not require any additional hardware as the ProVari comes with the standard end cap that screws onto the end of the tube.
18650 - The AW 18650 is a longer battery which will operating for a longer period of time than the shorter 18490 before the battery needs to be recharged. With the longer battery you will also need to purchase the extended end cap. Since the 18650 battery is physically longer in size in order to use these you will need the extended end cap for them to fit.
3. Chargers - There are currently two chargers available in our online store.
The regular charger and the Pila IBC charger. Both chargers will work fine.
The Pila IBC is a upgrade to the regular charger. The Pila is one of the best
on the market and our recommendation!
4. Cartomizers and Atomizers? There are two types of atomizers you can get for
the ProVari. The first one is the Atomizer. The atomizer contains the heating
element that vaporizes the e-liquid. Atomizers themselves don't hold much fluid
so you will need to refill them often. If you purchase the optional cartridges
for $.50cents each you can use these on top of atomizers to hold more fluid
so you don't have to refill as often.
Cartomizers - We like cartomizers better. The correct cartomizer to use is the 3.0ohm cartomizer which we have in the online store. Cartomizers are a combination of atomizer and cartridge built into one unit. This screws onto the top of your ProVari and holds about 25 drops of fluid so you don't have to refill as often. Cartomizers come in a 5 pack and they typically last 4-7 days each, then you toss it and grab a new one. A 5 pack should last you about a month. We also recommend getting a drip tip. This plugs into the top of the cartomizer and just makes it a little easier to pop the tip off and refill the cartomizer when its dry. Drip tips come in several colors and plastic or metal. They all work the same and its personal preference to which one you choose.
Lastly, you will need some e-liquid to refill your cartomizer or atomizer. We have a large selection of flavors and strengths to choose from. Typically the best flavors to start with are the fruit flavors. Strength comes down to personal preference, but you can always start with high and work down from there until you find the right one for you.
Recommended Starter Kit:
1. ProVari - Silver, Chrome or Satin Black
2. (2) 18490 Batteries
3. If you want to get the longer batteries for more run time - (2) 18650 batteries
and the extended end cap.
4. 3 ohm cartomizers. 1-2 packs of 5.
5. Drip tip - one or two in the color you choose.
6. Charger - Two choices, the regular charger or the Pila charger will work
with the batteries your getting.
7. E-Juice - To fill your cartomizer.
